
MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a Facebook post, Mountain Home High School will host the annual Homecoming parade on Friday, Sept. 29.
The parade will return to the same route used in previous years, starting on the 1100 block of E. 4th S. and continuing to S. 10th E. and North on S. 10th E., then turning west onto E. Jackson St. to N. 2nd E. The route will turn North and continue to American Legion Blvd., turn East and continue to N. 14th E. and turn South to complete the parade route.
The Mountain Home Police Department will provide traffic control along the route. There will be a lead vehicle in front and a patrol vehicle at the end.
Traffic will be stopped temporarily when the parade turns onto N. 2nd E. Traffic will follow behind the patrol vehicle at the end. When the parade turns onto American Legion Blvd, it will stay in the eastbound lane.
All westbound traffic will continue uninterrupted. Eastbound traffic will follow the patrol vehicle at the end until it reaches the S. 14th E. intersection and then continue in its regular pattern.
Officers will also provide rolling roadblocks at all major intersections. Traffic will be interrupted for approximately 20 minutes. This will start at about 2 p.m. that afternoon.
