CORNELIUS, N.C. — Members of the Lake Norman Ward here presented "Roads to Cornelius" for the town's Black History Celebration Feb. 26.
As part of the town's 100th year anniversary, the presentation paid tribute to black families as roots of the town and showed how names of roads reflect family names. During the event, Church family history resources were also highlighted, including Freedman's Bank Record, 1880 U.S. Census, and Personal Ancestral File.
