BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- — Former Idaho State Bengal Jared Allen has announced his retirement, according to NFL.com and a video posted to his Twitter account that shows him riding a horse off into the distance.
"Well everyone, I just want to say thank you for an amazing 12 year career," he said.
Allen apparently wanted to ride a horse off into a distant sunset but weather conditions proved otherwise.
Allen played 12 season in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings and the Kansas City Chiefs.
